Ornate Gail + Lyle engaged! | Newtown/ Melrose Arch 02/10/11 Ornate

Gail contacted me several months ago to enquire about an engagement shoot. I wasn’t going to be in Jhb for a while, and therefore couldn’t do it immediately. Even though I informed her that she would have to wait a relatively long time for the shoot, she still went and booked me. This made me feel very flattered that Gail was willing to wait when there are so many photographers in Jhb. Thank you Gail :-)

We started the shoot in Newtown, and then moved over to Melrose Arch. Even though I have shot in Newtown before, every time I am there, I am blown away by what an awesome location this is to shoot. Gail and Lyle made perfect models, and were such fun to work with!

Ornate Marize + Merve engaged! | Groenland 21/07/11 Ornate

Marize and Merve are getting married in January. They asked to do an engagement shoot where Merve actually lives. Yep, I kid you not; he lives in this vineyard. The view of table mountain is ridiculously gorgeous! What a lovely couple! They are so much fun, and made me feel very at home! Merve even gave me a bottle of wine. Thanks man!

Lina + Micho are an an awesome couple! They made my job so easy, by just being so natural and easy to shoot. They have asked me to blog only a few pics, as they want to use the images in their decor for the wedding (so flattering). I have chosen these few, and will definitely update after the wedding in March. Can’t wait!!!

Ornate Jaydene + Bjorn engaged! | Wits University 04/06/11 Ornate

I feel very lucky that Jaydene & Bjorn asked me to shoot their wedding. At first I told them that I couldn’t do it, due to the fact that I have a wedding the day before theirs, in Cape Town. They live in Johannesburg and I was worried about the journey in the early morning before their wedding. Jaydene emailed me and asked me to reconsider. I felt so lucky, that they really wanted me to be part of their day. I surely couldn’t say no, and I am not sorry. They are a fantastic couple! There are so many elements to this shoot, that it is a slightly longer post for an engagement shoot, please forgive me, but I just had to include all of these pics.

We did the shoot at the university at Wits, and I have to say….WOW, what an awesome location! I hope you enjoy this shoot, because I have to say…….it was sooooo much fun to create, and I cannot wait to be part of Jaydene and Bjorn’s big day in November!
