Sunday bliss.

Recently I have been ill. Without wanting to sound too dramatic I was so ill that at times I just couldn’t think straight. My work is a bit behind because of this. I have been to the doctor 3 times now, and finally at the 3rd visit the doctor prescribed antihistamines, which finally worked. I always suffer form sinusitis but I have never had it to the extent that it actually made me feel like I couldn’t function. Anyway……on Friday last week I finally started feeling better, which was a good thing because on Saturday I had a wedding at the gorgeous Beloftebos (one of my favourite venues).

On my way back from Stanford on Sunday morning, I thought I would give Catherine Mac a ring and see what she was up to and whether she fancied going for lunch in Kalk Bay. I was finally feeling better and this is the first time in a month that I have actually wanted to socialise on any level. We decided to go and have a bite to eat. Catherine is a very good friend of mine and an AMAZING photographer. A while back Kerry and I made contact on Facebook. Kerry and Luis are photographers based in Portugal. Have a look at their blog. Their work is simply SUBLIME! They are currently in SA for a wedding that they are going to shoot next weekend. When I met them I just had this awesome feeling that you get when you have known each other for a long time. They are just the coolest people! They decided to come along for lunch to Kalk Bay, and we had the most amazing day just chatting about photography, sharing ideas and shooting, just for fun! Kerry and Luis: you guys rock! What a cool day!? After feeling sick and miserable for almost a month….I have that incredible feeling that you get when you finally have your health back, and you meet people and realise that you were just meant to be friends! And you realise that life is just an amazing journey!
